Training Pants Rãtã
This beautiful diaper is part of the Ora collection of the New Zealand brand Kekoa. Ora (te reo Māori) means “To be alive, well, safe, cured, recovered, healthy’ in Māori. This collection is inspired by the plants traditionally used in Rongoā Māori (Māori traditional medicine that includes herbal medicines).
Rãtã are very versatile plants used by the Māori. The bark is used to treat diarrhea; lotions for ringworm, poultices for wounds/ulcers, teas for aches and pains. The flowers and bark can be used with honey for sore throats, the juice for treating wounds, and young leaves used in the cavities of aching teeth.
Kekoa’s premium One Size diapers fit from about 3 to 18kg and are adjustable in five different sizes. The diapers are made from recycled polyester. This saves 75% on electricity and even 90% on water, compared to new polyester. Per diaper it saves about six plastic bottles that do not end up on the waste mountain.
Kekoa training pants are beautiful luxury training pants, with a soft bamboo interior and a supple water-resistant exterior in a beautiful print. The bottoms are available in two sizes, where both sizes can be closed in different positions around the waist. These bottoms do not have buttons at the front to shorten the bottom. The advantage of this is that the press studs cannot irritate along the thighs. If your child is still very small, there will be some extra fabric at the front. The leg opening and the waist size can be adjusted by closing the press studs on the side to the correct size. Both sides have three rows of press studs.
Size S/M fits from about 8 to 15kg
Size M/L fits from about 12 to 23kg
Kekoa uses 100% recycled polyester, which uses 75% less energy and 90% less water. Each training pants are made from about 6 plastic bottles.
Material:
-water resistant outer: 100% recycled polyester with PUL
-inner: 80% bamboo, 20% polyester
It is best to wash these training pants cold with detergent first, then they can be washed at 60 degrees. Line dry, out of direct sunlight. Wash new training pants by hand a few times first, until the water no longer discolours.
The training pants from Kekoa have the OEKO-TEX quality mark.
