Nixit Menstrual Disc

The Nixit disc, or the Nixit cup as they call it, is a One Size disc that will fit almost everyone. It comes with a storage bag. It is a fairly soft disc with a large capacity of 70 ml. This is more than all other cups and discs in our range. The disk has a fairly soft and flexible double edge. Because this edge is so flexible, it is less likely to exert pressure on the bladder or urethra. The round bottom is made of a very thin and soft flexible silicone. During insertion, the disc is clamped behind the pubic bone, so that it remains in place under the cervix and can collect the menstrual blood. This flexible disc shapes itself to your body. To widen it, you can hook a finger behind the edge of the disc and gently pull it out. Or you can grab the edge with a finger and thumb and gently pull the disc out. Because this disc does not have a loop or notch, removing this disc may be a little messier. No vacuum is created with a disc, making it ideal for use in combination with an IUD. Because of the way the disc sits in the body, it is also possible to wear it during sex without blood being released. However, a disc is not a contraceptive.

You can boil the disc before first use and between menstruations. Do this in a pan with plenty of water for 5 minutes. Make sure that the disc is completely submerged in water but not on the bottom of the pan. You can optionally put the disc in a whisk so that it is completely clear of the bottom. In between, you can rinse the disc with water and, if necessary, use unscented special soap. The disc may become discolored over time.
