This beautiful newborn AIO diaper by Elskbar consists of an absorbent cover and a snap-in insert. The waterproof layer is made of TPU, which is a more eco-friendly alternative to PUL. The inside of the cover is lined with a soft layer of bamboo. The diaper comes with a square bamboo insert that should be folded in thirds. The insert has a snap to be able to snap it into the cover. For smaller babies, you can fold the insert shorter, so it will fit the diaper nicely.

The diaper is adjustable in three sizes and fits from around 2.5 to 6 kg. The TPU is stretchy and pliable. The diaper has double leg gussets and closes with snaps.

Materials:

Cover:

-Outside: 100% polyester with TPU

-Inside: 85% bamboo, 15% polyester

Insert: 85% bamboo, 15% polyester

The diaper can be washed at 60 degrees Celsius and can best be line dried over two lines. The insert could be dried in the dryer on low heat, the cover should not.

Given as a gift to a pregnant friend who is interested in washable. The diaper is beautiful and feels great! Use elskbar one size myself, just as nice.

We had a pair of newborn diapers from Elskbar and they were happily put on! Inlay does get thick between the legs as you fold it through three in the beginning, but the absorbency was top notch the entire time she wore the diapers.

When I was pregnant, I decided to invest in a nice collection of newborn diapers. Mainly AIO's (for quick convenience and e.v. husband/grandparents who found washable very exciting) and two-pieces (because less chance of leaks). I have really enjoyed the Elskbar diapers. They are easy to resize. The snaps stay snug. I like the double leak channels and how incredibly slim this diaper falls! It rivals the disposable in that area, but is much nicer, no squirting diapers :-) and no waste. We didn't have to put on bigger pants with our baby. We have to admit that we let him wear relatively large clothes because otherwise we have crying fits while changing. So it is possible that someone else may find that a pair of pants is a bit tight after all.... A common problem with Elskbar are the inserts that want to curl up after washing. I pull them when they are still wet as straight as possible and hang them to dry on 2 clothespins. That saves a lot of bulges. My baby doesn't seem to have had any other problems with bumps and bulges in the diaper. It looks a little less attractive especially on the line -you hope to buy diapers that stay looking unblemished forever after all :-)-. Our baby is a frequent peeper and knows how to make hefty poopy diapers. We ended up having 1 poop leak due to wrong size adjustment. We also bought Elskbar diapers for the next phase. Unfortunately dje don't have double leak gutters, so excited to see how that model will turn out!
