What is an reusable incontinence diaper?

Reusable incontinence diapers are the durable and comfortable alternative to disposable incontinence material. The diapers are suitable for moderate to heavy urine loss and for faecal incontinence (faecal loss). Reusable adult diapers can be used both during the day and at night. Slip-on models are available, which you can put on and take off like pants, but there are also washable incontinence pants with a closure at the top. If there is faeces in the reusable diaper, it can therefore easily be changed. In case of faecal incontinence, an insert can be used. You place this sheet inside the diaper before you put it on. With the next change, the sheet with faeces and all can be thrown into the waste. Inserts that have only received urine can be washed together with the diaper. Most inserts can be washed 5 to 10 times.

Advantages of reusable incontinence pants

Incontinence diapers that are washable are generally made of bamboo, cotton or polyester. They sit comfortably against the skin, have firm but soft elastics and are available in pull-up models or models with a closure. Due to the elastics along the legs and waist, urine and faeces remain well within the diaper. Washable diapers are not only more comfortable, you also save a lot of waste and the burden on the environment is much lower. In addition, washable diapers and washable incontinence material are cheaper in the long run. The purchase is a one-time investment, but washable diapers will last for years if used properly. Like clothing, they can often be washed hundreds of times.
