Disana wool cover

The wool covers by Disana are very popular thanks to the beautiful colors and sturdy quality. The wool covers are double knitted and after lanolization very leak proof. These knitted wool covers will shrink and felt somewhat. This makes them even more leak proof, but we do recommend buying one size up.

Wool is self cleaning and is, when lanolized, highly waterproof. Wool covers are mainly used over nighttime diapers, such as fitted diapers or fold cloth diapers. In the morning, you hang your wool cover to air out, so you can use them at night again. Of course it is possible to use wool covers during the day too, but you will need loose clothes over a wool cover. 

Wool does not need to be washed often. You can generally use a wool cover for weeks on end, if it does not get soiled. After a while, wool covers will start to keep smelling even after airing it out. Then it is time to wash and lanolize it again. 

With your order, you will receive extensive instructions for lanolization. We recommend solid lanolin to use for this process. New wool covers should be lanolized three times before use. 

Disana has many different coloured wool covers. The natural colour starts from size 50/56 up to 110/116, and the other colours start from size 62/68 up to 98/104. 

Material

100% organic merino wool 

Disana wool covers can be washed by hand or on a wool wash setting on your washing machine. It is best to lay them flat to dry. Do not wring or machine spin the wool cover.
