Wool Covers
Wool covers are perfect for children with sensitive skin, long nights and heavy wetters. More information about wool covers and lanolisation can be found in our wool cover blog.
Extra long dry with wool covers
Wool covers are a replacement for covers. Wool covers are ideal for long nights, (newborn) babies with sensitive skin and children who urinate a lot. They absorb part of the moisture and therefore leak less quickly than PUL covers. In addition, wool is heat-regulating, which means that they are nice and warm in the winter and nice and cool in the summer.
Wool covers by reusable diapers
Wool is self-cleaning and, once properly lanolized, has a very water-resistant function. Wool covers must be treated with lanolin to make them suitable for use over washable diapers. Lanolize the wool covers three times when they are new. With used wool covers, lanolizing once after washing is usually enough.
Wool does not always need to be washed. You can generally use the cover for weeks in a row if there is no stool. Hang wool covers to air after each use, even if the covers feel wet. At a certain point, wool covers will no longer smell fresh, even after airing. Then it is time for a wash and the wool covers must be lanolized again. Wool covers dry best lying flat and should not be wrung or spun. They only need to be washed occasionally with a wool detergent. There is an affordable wool covers package for wool covers containing two Popolini wool covers, lanolin and wool detergent.

You will receive detailed lanolising instructions with your order. We recommend solid lanolin for lanolising wool covers. New wool covers should be lanolised three times before first use.
