Newborn diapers have been specially developed for the little ones, such as multiple births and premature babies. They are also the perfect solution for a well-fitting diaper for newborn babies weighing 2-6 kg.

Perfect for new borns, premature babies and multiple births

There are newborn diapers and newborn covers especially for the little ones and the youngest. These diapers and covers are extra small and intended for the first days, weeks and months. Most newborn diapers fit from about 2 to 6 kg. Depending on the birth weight of a child and the growth rate, the diapers can then be used up to about 3 months. This, of course, varies greatly from child to child. Some children weigh 6 kg much earlier, while other children can take a little longer with the newborn diapers. We also have extra small diapers for sale for premature babies (diapers size 0).

Some newborn diapers even have a special recess for the umbilical stump, so that the edge of the diaper does not irritate. For diapers without an umbilical opening, make sure that the diaper falls below the umbilical stump, or falls very loosely over it. Reusable cloth diapers can be used immediately after birth, it is not necessary to use disposable diapers for the first days or weeks. Of course you can! You can collect the first stool of newborn babies, the meconium, with an insert. Diapers with meconium usually wash clean without any problems, even without an insert.

Newborn diapers or not?

Often, One Size diapers can also be used soon after birth, depending on the birth weight of a child. Keep in mind that One Size diapers fit up to about 15 kg, so they last until toddler age. All that fabric that needs to fit around a toddler's buttocks needs to be reduced and folded in half to fit the diaper to your newborn. So it is a relatively thick package, but it does its job. Reusable newborn diapers fit babies from 2-6 kg.
