Lanolin Soap Mandarin Lavender
This lanolin soap can be used to clean and slightly grease wool covers. This wool soap is also ideal for wool clothing. It can also be used on the skin.
How Do You Use Lanolin Soap?
Fill up a bucket or basin with 2 liters of hand warm water. Rub the lanolin soap in the water between your hands until the water gets milk white. Put the wool covers in the milky water. Make sure the wool covers have about the same temperature as the water. Wool shrinks when there are large differences in temperature. You can wash the wool cover or clothing with care or leave it in the soapy water. After washing, put the wool products between two dry, clean towels. Roll them up tightly to squeeze out as much liquid as possible. Lay the wool products to dry on a flat surface.
Lanolizing
New wool covers should also be treated with pure lanolin. The lanolin soap is more of a nourishment to the wool or to wash it. A true lanolin bath is needed every once in a while to keep wool covers waterproof.
