Helpfulness
Perfect for during the night (and ecologically sound on treks)
Mar 2, 2021
Of these reusable pads, I bought the long (night) variety. I find this the most comfortable of the various nighttime pads. Possibly the flaps could have been a little more asymmetrical, so that there is a longer back part and a shorter front part, but the way the pads are now, it is also suitable for stomach sleepers.
It is íslightly thicker than a disposable, but really not much thicker. It has the same thickness as the "daytime version.
The fabric in contact with the underwear is smooth, so in my opinion a little less suitable for during activities. One way to solve this with this type of sanitary pad is to pull a second, tight pair of underpants over it.
However, I am SO glad I found these; very comfortable.
Also, for taking on long, "rugged" trips, this is an ecologically sound product. I collect the pads in a cotton bag, throw them in lukewarm soapy water at the end of the week, very briefly with soap over them and then into the washing machine. Full hand washing (on treks) poses no problem.
