Birdseye Flat Diaper Blümchen 70 x 70 cm (5 pieces)

The true old-fashioned birds eye flat diapers! Because of the special weaving technique, birds eye flat diapers are more absorbent than muslin flat diapers, without extra bulk. You can fold them the same ways as muslin flats, which means almost endless possibilities! The diapers can be used straight from birth and still fit 14 kg toddlers. For older babies and toddlers, you do need one or more boosters for extra absorption. The birds eye flat diapers fit perfectly in the Blümchen covers, but naturally, they are also usable in combination with other covers. To secure the diaper, you can use a diaper fastener.

The diapers are made of organic cotton and come in a 5-pack.

Size before washing: 70 x 70 cm

Materials: 100% organic cotton (GOTS certified)

The birds eye diapers can be washed at 95 degrees Celsius, and can be dried in the dryer.

Great diapers for when you have a small budget. I bought 10 of these to try out as diapers, works fine in itself, but my 2-month-old son can only last an hour with these without a booster. I also find the edges curl too much, giving you thick stuffs. Doesn't seem comfortable I personally prefer to use prefolds as diapers. I now use the eyelet diapers as a towel, spit cloth, bib, on the wash pillow or under his head in the crib.

soft diapers, but do deform and the edges curl

These were my first experiences with folding diapers, and personally I like them much better than pre-shaped diapers. They adjust better to my son's build and seem slimmer, while I am always sure they are completely clean. I find the fabric of these eyelet diapers very good and soft. Also, the folded diapers take up very little space in the diaper bag because they are so slim and thin. As for downsides: We usually use a dryer to dry the diapers because of a lack of patience or energy to hang them. The downside with these diapers is that the edges then curl up a lot, which is less optimal when using the dryer. The diapers also shrink unevenly, taking on a rectangular shape after only 1 or 2 washes (70x70 became 70x65 to even 70x60 pretty quickly), which makes folding less pleasant. The pickman fold was quickly replaced by the origami fold. We later tested popolini hydrophilic diapers, and we like them considerably better. Despite some shrinkage, they retain their square shape nicely, and the slight curling up of the edges does not bother me as much. These diapers are slightly thicker, though, and therefore take up more space in the diaper bag than the eyelet diapers. at night, we often top up the popolini hydrophiles with these eyelet diapers in padfold, for that I think they are ideal. In the future I would go for a larger size. The diapers in origami fold sometimes already get a little tense with our little son (size 74-80)

Our big favorite!

The eyelet diaper; our all time favorite! Folds into any shape or size, absorbs moisture quickly, dries super fast, not too expensive, what more could you want! They even go with us to camping. We thought we were done with napping, until we were allowed another round. Without a doubt, we have now gone for the eyelet diapers. We combine them with Little Lamb's fleece inserts for a drier feel to the skin.

Super soft and absorbent

I was looking for an alternative to hydrophilic cloths because, in my opinion, they are often very thin and become stiff if you don't have a dryer. These eyelet diapers are super soft and absorbent and stay soft even if you dry them on the clothesline without fabric softener. By now I use them as diapers as well, very happy with them.

Bare bottom moments

Without overpants, I find these diapers ideal for the "bare bottom" moments. Sometimes you just want to let your little one move freely with some fresh air around the buttocks, but with my son I don't always feel like the pee fountains. With these thin diapers you have the best of 2 worlds. Hihi

Fine cheap diaper

A very soft fabric that absorbs moisture well. For our 2 year old son, a small insert is needed. I have not been using these diapers for long and am still trying out different construction techniques. It took some getting used to but they are fine diapers. From another brand I have a size larger which I find easier to close with a two year old child.
